Angel Benguigui

Chief Executive Officer
Chairman of the GMC

Angel Benguigui is Chief Executive Officer of the Econocom Group. 

For nearly 40 years, Angel Benguigui has had a successful career in international environments, mainly in the fields of finance and digital technologies. 

After spending 20 years in corporate banking and financing, specializing in Europe for international banks, he joined the Group in 2006 as Country Manager for Spain where he developed the financing business as well as distribution and digital services, notably through a successful acquisitions policy. These developments established Econocom as a leading added-value digital integrator in Spain. 

Angel Benguigui then joined the Group’s International and Executive Committees. In 2019 he was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer then in 2020 he became Managing Director in charge of International Network Development. In 2023, he joined the Board of Directors as an Executive Director, in charge of devising and implementing the ‘One Econocom’ strategic plan.

In July 2024, Angel Benguigui was appointed CEO of the Econocom Group. He is also Chairman of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Group Management Committee. 

Angel attended the Lycée Français in Madrid and holds a Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Madrid. He speaks fluent English, French and Spanish.
 

Christoph Bläser

Country Manager Germany & Poland

Christoph Bläser is Country Manager of Econocom Germany & Poland. 

Christoph combines exceptional experience in selling IT services and financing solutions with a thorough knowledge of the market. He spent over 20 years in various senior management positions with IBM Global Financing and HP Financial Services.

In September 2020 he joined Econocom and was appointed Country Manager of Germany and Poland. As such, he has focused on implementing ambitious new development plans with a view to establishing Econocom as a strategic partner that provides IT solutions combining usage models and lifecycle management, to help organizations reduce their carbon footprint.

Christoph holds an MBA from Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. 

Quentin Bouchard

Managing Director
Global Group Tech

Quentin Bouchard is Managing Director Global Group Tech of the Econocom Group. 

Quentin joined the group in 2013 to manage various projects in the fields of internal communications, business and IT, rapidly giving him a comprehensive overview of the company and its challenges.

After a successful few years in management consulting helping key accounts with their transformation projects, he returned to Econocom in 2019 to optimize business applications for the leasing division, which gave him the opportunity to prove his skills in IT project management, enterprise architecture and agile methodologies.

Appointed Head of IT and Security for the group in November 2023, since July 2024 Quentin has been Managing Director Global Group Tech across Europe, in charge of accelerating the group’s digital transformation, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence and data valuation.

Quentin Bouchard holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Paris Panthéon-Assas.
 

Chantal De Vrieze

Country Manager Belgium & Luxembourg

Chantal De Vrieze has been Managing Director of Belgium & Luxembourg since February 2019 and is a Non-Executive Director of the Board of Directors.

Chantal De Vrieze began her career in 1984 working in marketing for AGFA before switching to financing at Van Breda. Between 2001 and 2018, she was successively Managing Director of Leasing, Executive Director of Econocom Benelux and Managing Director of Altran Belgium and Luxembourg. 

She took over as Head of Econocom Belux in 2019. 

A law graduate from Ghent University, Chantal serves on the Board of Directors of a number of leading companies including AXA Belgium, Colruyt Group, EVS Broadcast Equipment and Guberna.

Israel Garcia

Managing Director
Business Development & Strategic plan
and Country Manager UK

Israel Garcia is Managing Director Business Development & Strategic plan and Country Manager UK.

Israel started his career with Accenture where he gained a solid grounding in consulting.

After this initial experience, he became Managing Director of an international company in the building materials industry where he spent over ten years working in various European countries. He then went on to found Altabox, a leading Spanish company specializing in designing and rolling out omni-channel marketing strategies, which became part of the Econocom Group in 2018.

Since 2018, Israel had occupied a number of senior positions in the group, in charge of P&Ls. Since July 2024, he has combined the roles of Managing Director Business Development & Strategic plan and Country Manager for the UK.

Israel is a trained engineer and holds several Masters degrees in financial and business administration and marketing.
 

Philippe Goullioud

Chairman of Equipment & Services France

Philippe Goullioud is Chairman of Equipment & Services in France.

He has over 35 years’ experience managing technology product distribution companies.

He started out in 1989 working for a French start-up as Export Manager and held a variety of other positions with the group before joining Econocom in 2007.

Since January 2024, he has been Chairman of Econocom’s Equipment & Services divisions in France.

Philippe is a graduate of IFAG, a management school specializing in entrepreneurship.

Alessio Lechiara

Country Manager Italy

Alessio Lechiara is Country Manager of Econocom Italy. 

With a solid international background in finance and M&As, he joined Econocom in May 2020 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and was promoted to Country Manager in February 2022.

Prior to this he spent almost 14 years with Ansaldo Energia group in positions of increasing responsibility, culminating in his appointment in 2014 as CFO of Ansaldo Gas Turbine Technology and Shanghai Electric Gas Turbine as part of a strategic agreement between Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and Shanghai Electric. 

After spending three years in China working on various M&As, he moved to the United States where he was CFO for Power Systems Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Ansaldo Energia Group specializing in third-party power station maintenance.

Alessio is an Economics graduate from the University of Genoa. 

Alexandre Murati

Deputy Managing Director Exaprobe

Alexandre Murati has been Deputy Managing Director of Exaprobe since June 2024, where he is in charge of Business Development. 

He has previously held various strategic management positions with Econocom, including International Deputy Director, where he oversaw the building of the group’s strategic plan, which aims for 50% growth over the next five years.

Prior to joining the group, he worked in strategic management consulting for Boston Consulting Group where he acquired solid experience drawing up strategic plans and implementing transformation plans for global clients in a range of industry sectors (IT, Banking & Insurance, Pharmaceuticals).

Alexandre is a graduate of ESSEC business school.

Jean-Pierre Overbeek

Country Manager Netherlands

Jean-Pierre Overbeek is Country Manager Netherlands. 

Jean-Pierre has a career spanning 25 years in the audiovisual and IT industries. Combining his passion for IT and media technologies and their impact on users with a pragmatic approach, he is constantly on the lookout for innovative products, solutions and concepts that help clients achieve their goals.

He started out in 1999 working in sales for BIS|Econocom, then went on to hold a variety of other positions with the company. Six years after being appointed Executive VP of Sales, he became Chief Operating Officer (COO) before his promotion to CEO in 2010. At just 35, Jean-Pierre was the youngest ever CEO in the audiovisual industry in Europe.

Since BIS was acquired by Econocom in 2017, the Dutch audiovisual sector has enjoyed substantial growth under Jean-Pierre’s leadership, with annual revenue rising from €40 million to €120 million between 2017 and 2023.

Jean-Pierre is a graduate of the Hogeschool University of Applied Sciences in Rotterdam.

Carlos Pérez-Herce

Country Manager Spain

Carlos Pérez-Herce is Country Manager of Econocom Spain. 

With over 25 years’ experience, Carlos began his career with Abello Linde and AGA, leading suppliers of industrial gas, where he held a number of senior positions.

He joined Econocom Spain in 2007 as Chief Financial Officer where he soon gained a strong grounding in financial management and Human Resources when he was appointed  CFO and HR Director in 2016.

In August 2019, he was appointed Country Manager for Econocom Spain, where he successfully ran the group’s Spanish operations. 

He is currently in charge of coordinating digital transformation and growth for Econocom in Spain and consolidating its market leadership. 

Carlos holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Syracuse.

Philippe Renauld

Managing Director
Finance and M&A

Philippe Renauld is Managing Director Finance and M&A of the Econocom Group.

A seasoned professional with over 30 years’ experience, Philippe started out in 1994 as an auditor and consultant for Arthur Andersen. In 1997, he joined Eurazéo where he spent ten years before becoming a member of the Executive Committee. In 2007 he co-founded Fondations Capital.

From 2016 to 2020 he was Head of International Operations and member of the Executive Committee of Saint Gobain Pont in Mousson, before joining Louis Delhaize Group as Group Chief Financial Officer and serving on the Executive Committee.

Before joining Econocom, Philippe was Group CFO and Group COO for Sienna IM, where he was appointed to the Executive Committee in 2020.

He joined Econocom in September 2024 as Managing Director Finance & M&A and is also in charge of Investor Relations.

Philippe is an Engineering graduate of the École Centrale de Paris.
 

Mathilde Saint-Pol

Managing Director Technology Management & Financing France

Mathilde Saint-Pol is Managing Director Technology Management & Financing France. 

Mathilde began her career in 1993 working in sales for various specialist bank subsidiaries before joining SCC group in 1999 where she contributed to setting up and developing Rigby Capital, a company specializing in financing solutions. She then joined ECS in 2006 as head of Funding and Marketing. 

After ECS was bought out by Econocom in 2010, Mathilde was head of funding between 2010 and 2016. In 2014, she set up Econocom Digital France Limited (EDFL) in the group’s financing division (TMF) and ran it until 2019. From the end of 2019 to mid-2022, she was Chief Operating Officer for Rigby Capital Europe where she oversaw the transformation of the company’s tools. 

In September 2022, she returned to Econocom as Deputy Managing Director in charge of central functions and development. She became Managing Director of Econocom France (Technology Management & Financing) in July 2023 and President of Econocom Factory in January 2024.

Philippe Spender

Managing Director of Equipment France

Philippe Spender is Managing Director of Equipment for Econocom France. 

He began his career working for CMG in his native Lille, then became Area Manager for ISTA before joining General Electric in 1998 where he spent four years as IT Solutions Sales Director.

In 2002, he joined Econocom as Sales Director, then was appointed Deputy Managing Director of Asystel, one of the group’s subsidiaries, in 2006. 

In 2010 he became Deputy Managing Director of Econocom’s Products & Solutions business in France in 2010, a position he held for 14 years. He was appointed Managing Director of Equipment France in 2024.

Philippe is a graduate of the Institut Supérieur de Gestion (ISG).

Christophe Vanmalleghem

Managing Director Equipment & Services Belgium and Luxembourg

Christophe Vanmalleghem is Managing Director of Equipment & Services for Econocom Belgium and Luxembourg.

Christophe started his career in 1994 with Digital Equipment Corporation (Compaq Computers), before joining Logica-CGI in 1999 as head of the Energy & Public Services division, which he grew and consolidated its position in the Belgian energy market.

In 2006, he joined Econocom where he held a number of senior management positions including Services Director, overseeing operations in Europe and Morocco.

From 2015 to 2019, he was Managing Director of Cheops, where he increased revenue from €17M to €37M and improved EBITDA.

He returned to Econocom Belux in 2019 to head up Equipment & Services, overseeing the countries’ sales and operational strategy. He has a proven track record for managing successful teams and boosting growth.

Christophe holds degrees in Business Administration from the University of Liège and Business Engineering from the University of Antwerp.
